Road Trip to TomorrowWorld

Now let me give you a little 411 on TomorrowWorld.

  • TomorrowLand is actually the festival that gave birth to TomorrowWorld in the US. TL is actually overseas in Belgium. Because they wanted to bring the festivities to the US, TW was born.
  • The festival, started in 2013, resides in the town of Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, 25 miles southwest of Atlanta. In its inaugural year, TomorrowWorld received a nomination for Best Music Event at the International Dance Music Awards.
  • TomorrowWorld happened on September 2014, and brought a crowd of 160,000 attendants throughout the 3 day festival.
  • The "Volcano" main stage spanned 400 feet wide and was 100 feet tall!
  • It took 80 shipping containers to transport the massive stage over 6,000 miles across the Atlantic.
  • There were seven other stages sprinkled throughout 500 acres, which was inside an 8,000 acre farm!
  • More than 75 different nationalities were represented during the festival.
  • Over 50,000 people attended each day!
  • At least 35,000 people camped onsite in an area called Dreamville.
  • Dreamville was equipped with vendors of all sorts, from clothes to food and anything in between.
  • Dreamville even had its own daily newspaper!
  • Your bracelet was your currency. There was no paper money being accepted anywhere inside the festival.
  • Economically speaking, TomorrowWorld impacted the Atlanta economy by more than 85 million dollars! That figure is the same amount the NCAA Final Four Championship games brought to the city in 2013!
  • Over 300 DJs spun a total of 38 hours of continuous music. This does not include "The Gathering" stage, which was strictly for Dreamville campers.
AND ONE MORE THING --> THERE WAS NO RECEPTION OF ANY KIND!

:::::SO HERE WE GO:::::

We all met up at the gas station. Everyone except for me drove. I had to stay back, but luckily for me, I flew to TW.  I missed the road trip, but...they all wished they would have flown too lol.

AND.... BREAK!

My friends ... see you on the other side of NORMAL.

Let's Take a Trip

And now we are here...today...17 years later.  Now...it's not about the rave. It's about an event.  I'm 35 now, so events with teeny-boppers isn't my thing.  FESTIVALS are.  And now...here we go. My first festival ever.
